Vadim Mozyrsky

Representing NO on Measure 26-228, Partnership for Common Sense Government

Vadim Mozyrsky was born in Kyiv, Ukraine. Vadim received a juris doctorate degree from the University of Texas School of Law. After law school, he clerked for judges in state, federal and international courts. Before his current work as an administrative law judge, he practiced litigation and mediation. Vadim is active in the Portland community, focusing on disability, immigrant and public safety issues. He has served on numerous city commissions and committees, institutional advisory boards, and in community-based organizations. Vadim is a national union representative for AFL-CIO, IFPTE, Judicial Council 1. He is a former co-chair of the Portland Charter Commission.

Alisa Pyszka

Representing NO on Measure 26-228, Partnership for Common Sense Government

Alisa Pyszka is President of Bridge Economic Development: a Woman-Owned Business Enterprise (WBE) consulting firm that works with cities, counties and regional organizations to deliver economic development strategies and action plans. Pyszka has over 20 years of experience in urban planning, real estate and economic development. Over the course of her career, she worked as manager of the economic development department at the City of Vancouver, Washington (2008-2013). In that role she worked across multiple agencies to implement programs and projects to encourage private investment and grow the economic base. In addition to her consulting practice, she is an Adjunct Professor at the College of Urban and Public Affairs at Portland State University.

Sol Mora

Representing YES on Measure 26-228, Portland United for Change

Sol Mora graduated from Portland State University with a bachelor's degree in Women's Studies. She has been a community organizer for over five years, working towards creating a more equitable government. Her day job includes working at the Coalition of Communities of Color and Building Power for Communities of Color, where she leads on civic engagement and coalition building.

Becca Uherbelau

A member of the Portland Charter Commission

Becca Uherbelau served as the former Executive Director of Our Oregon, leading the organization’s work to advance social and economic justice with a focus on ballot measures. Before directing Our Oregon, Becca was the Community Relations Manager for Metro, leading the engagement and community partnership strategy to develop and implement the agency’s racial equity strategy. Becca has been working in community and public service, grassroots advocacy and politics for over two decades. She has worked for local, legislative and statewide elected officials, advocacy and community-based non-profits and has spearheaded statewide ballot measure, local levy and candidate campaigns. In all of her work, she seeks to dismantle systems of oppression, build power in communities and advance racial and gender equity.

Rebecca Ellis

Moderator

Rebecca Ellis is a reporter and producer covering City Hall for Oregon Public Broadcasting. She reports on city politics, housing, homelessness, policing, transportation and more for radio and web. Before OPB, Rebecca reported for the Miami Herald and NPR. She graduated from Brown University with a bachelor's degree in Urban Studies in 2018.
